Iseli/Choidi Dance Company – Official Opening Wednesday 19th August
Iseli/Choidi Dance Company perform their creation ‘Me Seeing You’. Collaborating with visual artist Elaine Hurley, Jazmin Chiodi and Alexandre Iseli create a work where video and recorded political discourse emphasize the artificial aspects of performance, questioning the universe that video, light design or stage settings can create. ‘Me Seeing You’ finally brings the attention back to the essential beauty of dance that resurfaces after the skeleton of the show has been taken apart. Human movement then becomes inviting, and brings the spectator back to his/her own physical sensations and memory.
Iseli-Chiodi Dance Company is supported by the County Council – Excel Dance Residency, funded by the Arts Council, South Tipperary County Council and Tipperary Excel Arts and Culture Centre.

Hubcap Creatures Exhibition by Ptolemy Elrington
Ptolemy Elrington creates sculptures out of hubcaps. His Hubcap creatures are made entirely from re-cycled materials. All of the hubcaps are found, usually on the side of the road, and therefore bear the scars of their previous lives in the form of scratches and abrasions. These marks add texture and history to the creatures they adorn. Hubcap Creatures will be on display throughout the festival in the Old Church Garden and Ptolemy will also create a new hubcap creature at the festival.
